Yoga Classes – Every Monday evening from 5 – 6:30 p.m. Class is led by Deborah Foss, RYT, and is geared toward experienced participants. Beginners, please call before attending. Cost is $96 for 8 weeks or $15 per class (scholarships available). Bring your own yoga mat and pillow. For more information, call Deborah Foss at 785-4131.

Free Yoga Classes –Saturday mornings from 10:05 - 11:15 am. As a service to the community Kay Fuller, certified Kripalu Yoga Teacher, is offering a free beginner level class. No previous Yoga experience is required.

Pilates Mat Classes – Every Saturday morning from 9 – 10 a.m. Class is led by Kay Fuller. Cost is $80 for 8 weeks or $15 per class. Bring your own mat. Beginners, please call before attending. For more information, call Kay Fuller at 439-1775.

CD and DVD Lending Library
One of our goals for 2009 is to begin lending inspirational CDs and DVDs through our library.  We invite you to donate CDs or DVDs with lectures, classes, meditations, and similar materials by Unity and New Thought speakers to start our collection.  We also hope to include some spiritual movies.  These audio and video materials will be shelved along with our current books and available for check out.  We will accept a limited number of cassette tape and VHS video materials but are primarily focusing on the more current CD and DVD formats.  Do you have an old CD or DVD that you have loved and are now ready to share?  Just drop it in the basket in front of the bookstore sales desk.  Your donation can help encourage and enlighten many others.

Course in Miracles Study Groups
Perhaps you have already tried the Course and found it difficult to make it through the text and 365 daily lessons? The Course is challenging, and it is a powerful tool for spiritual growth. And, the metaphysics of the Course are highly compatible with Unity teachings. While the Course is designed for individual study it is helpful to have a “support group” to share your questions, discoveries, and journey with. Unity Church supports two A Course In Miracles study groups. One study group meets Sunday evenings at 7:00 PM in the church library. A second study group meets on the 2nd and 4th Mondays at the home of Reverend Jim and Kay, in Delmar. Both groups are open to new students as well as those who have already been working with the Course. "The Heart of A Course In Miracles" Workshop
Monday March 1st at 7:00 PM
A Course In Miracles is a beautiful and powerful self-study spiritual course, which has inspired millions since it was published in 1975. This evening class is perfect both for first-timers, who would like an introduction to this material, as well as long-time students of the Course. We will use discussion, Course In Miracles-inspired music by Charley and two amazing workshop exercises to bring alive the principles found in this work. It's one thing to hear and read this information. However, the real power comes when we embody it through our own experience. And that's what will happen in this workshop. Charley has been learning from this material since the early 80's and is eager to share what he calls his "Course's Greatest Hits." Plus, the connection and sense of oneness that floods the room will be profound. We will go beyond thinking about these principles. We will know them from the inside out. Come play!
Admission: $15 in advance and $20 on the day of the event.

Annual Meeting
This year’s Unity Church Annual Meeting will be held Sunday March 7 at 12:15 PM.  The meeting will include brief reports from Reverend Jim and board members.  It will also include the election of two trustees to serve on the church board.  Only church members can serve on the board or vote for trustees.  The meeting itself is open to members and non-members alike.

This is an open mic night with music, poetry and more.  Share your talents or just sit back and enjoy the show.  Performers are asked to sign in by 6:45.  Coffee and refreshments are provided.  Admission $5.

Jon Mundy, Ph.D. is an author, lecturer, minister, and as "Dr. Baba Jon Mundane" a standup philosopher/comedian. He met Dr. Helen Schucman (the scribe for A Course in Miracles) and Dr. William Thetford in 1973. They, along with Dr. Ken Wapnick, introduced Jon to A Course in Miracles in April 1975 – 15 months before its publication.  Helen served as Jon’s counselor and guide until she became ill in 1980. He was cofounder in 1981 of the New Seminary for the training of Interfaith Ministers and in 1989 the cofounder of Interfaith Fellowship. He currently serves the Unitarian Universalist Church in Middletown, NY, as their permanent part-time pastor. He has authored 8 books including What is Mysticism?, Missouri Mystic, Awaken to Your Own Call: A Comprehensive Introduction to A Course in Miracles, Listening to Your Inner Guide, The Ten Laws of Happiness, Money and Jesus, Search for the Center, and Learning to Die.  You can learn more about Jon at www.miraclesmagazine.org.
